kind People
On March 10, my wife and I went to see the plum blossoms at Ōdaka Ryokuchi Park. We went by car, and there we met some truly kind people. The parking lot was full and we were at a loss, when a young woman and her mother, who had just parked nearby, came over and earnestly helped us look for an empty space.
No matter how much we searched, none could be found, so they suggested another parking lot. But it was farther away and up a slope, so my wife hesitated. Then the young woman said, “Please use this space. We’ll go to the other lot instead,” and they gave us their spot.
Neither my wife nor I had ever met such kind people before. We often say “Be kind to others,” but putting it into practice is not easy. I was deeply impressed and moved by the young woman and her mother. It made me realize again how important it is to be kind to others.
