○地下鉄の車両・出入り口付近
中年女性が座っている。満席で、数人の人が立っている。
電車が駅に着き、中年女性が座っている座席の対面の扉が開く。
四五人の乗客が乗り込み、最後に、杖をついた老人が乗って、出入り口付近のポールを握って立つ。
扉が閉まり、電車が走り出す。
中年女性、老人に気がつき、立ち上がって老人のところへ行って
中年女性「どうぞ、座ってください」
老人「あ、どうも。電車が止まってから座ります。あぶないから」
中年女性、そのまま老人の近くに立つ。
中年女性が座っていた席が空席になっている。
若い男、空席に気がつき座る。
老人、男性が座るのを見て
老人「あ、座られてしまいましたな」
中年女性、振り返って男性を見て
中年女性「ええ」
電車が次の駅に着き、扉が開く。
シルバー席に座っていた老婦人が降りる。
中年女性、空席のシルバー席を見て
中年女性「席があきましたよ」
老人、振り向いて空席を見る
老人「ありがとう」
老人、杖をついてゆっくり歩き、着席する。
ドアが閉まり、電車が発車する
A SCENE IN A SUBWAY TRAIN
Near a door of a subway train
A middle aged woman is sitting on a seat. The car is crowded. Several passengers are standing. The train arrives at a station. The door on the opposite side from her seat opens. Five people get on the car. Lastly an aged man with a walking stick hobbles into the car and stands near the door holding a pole. The door closes and the train begins to run. The middle-aged woman sees the old man, stands up, and walks to him.
Woman: Please sit down.
Old man: Oh, Thank you, but I’ll sit down after the train stops. It’s dangerous to walk now.
The woman keeps standing near the old man. The seat which she occupied is empty. A young man, noticing the empty seat, sits down. The old man sees him sit down.
Old man: Your seat is occupied.
The woman turns around and looks at the seat.
Woman: Yes, I’m sorry.
The train arrives at the next station. An old woman who was sitting on the seat near the door stands up and gets off the train. The middle-aged woman looks at the empty seat.
Woman: That seat is empty. Please sit down.
Old man: Thank you.
The old man walks slowly to the empty seat with his walking stick and sits down. The door closes and the train starts to run.
