　乙姫様の舞い踊り

昨年の４月に西安に行き、兵馬俑を見学しましたが、その折、中国の美しい舞踊を見ることができました。その踊りはまるで龍宮城で浦島太郎が見た乙姫様や[鯛や鮃の舞い踊り]のようでした。また西安に行く機会があれば、是非もう一度見たい。

むかしむかし浦島は
助けた亀に連れられて
龍宮城へ来て見れば
絵にもかけない美しさ

乙姫様のごちそうに
鯛やひらめの舞踊り
ただ珍しく面白く
月日のたつのも夢のうち

遊びにあきて気がついて
おいとまごいも　そこそこに
帰る途中の楽しみは
みやげにもらった玉手箱

帰って見れば　こはいかに
元居た家も村も無く
みちに行きあう人々は
顔も知らない者ばかり

心細さに蓋取れば
あけて悔しき玉手箱
中からぱっと白けむり
たちまち太郎はおじいさん

I went to Xian to see the Terracotta Warriors of Emperor Qin Shihuang last April. At that time I had a chance to see beautiful dances by Chinese dancing girls. They were like Otohime (Princess of the Ryugu Dragon Palace in a Japanese folktale). I would like to go to Xian to see the dance again. (See the video at the top)

Once upon a time, Taro Urashima
Led by the tortoise he had saved
Came to the Dragon Palace
Its beauty was beyond description

The princess treated him with delicious dishes and
Dances by porgies and paralichthys olivaceus
Taro enjoyed himself so much
Time passed quickly like a dream

Taro was tired of staying in the palace
He bid farewell to the princess
Hurried home with a treasure box
She had given him as a present

When he came back to his home village
Gone were his house and the village
The people he passed by
Were all unfamiliar to him

Feeling lonely he opened
The lid of the treasure box
Out of which rose white smoke
And he became an old man
