THE PRIUS HAS BEEN FOUND
However, it is too late. I received the theft insurance money and abandoned my claim to the car. If they had found the car only three months before, I would not have bought a new car.
The car dealer told me that since the car belonged to the insurance company, it would be scrapped it after they got it. My wife, so attached to the car, said, “It’s a pity it had to be scrapped.”
My wife and I have to report to the police on May 2 for the confirmation. I have begun to forget about the car and healed the wounds after these six months and now, suddenly, I have to face the pitiful car. What a severe reality!
THE PRIUS HAS BEEN FOUND
The police found my Prius which had been stolen from the parking lot of my
apartment about six months ago. They found it at a coin-operated parking
lot near Shiogama Subway Station.
The officer said, “Even if it were your car, you could not drive it
because your key to the car would not work since the thief (thieves) had changed
the code number for starting the engine. Also the number plate has been
substituted with another one. It must be removed with a tow truck.”
I thought the car had already been exported to Russia or Cambodia or
some other country and was running along a road, but it was found not in
another country but in a place about a 20-minute drive from my house. However, it is too late. I received the theft insurance money and abandoned my claim to the car. If they had found the car only three months before, I would not have bought a new car.
